Some love stories feel meant to be, and for this couple, every step led them to their wedding day at Pole Creek Ranch.

Brian and Delaney first met in the Bay Area in 2019 while working at a gym. After spending a year and a half together in California, the pandemic sparked a desire for change. A visit to Bend, Oregon, in early 2021 made it clear—this was home. They packed up, moved that fall, and within a year, had put down roots, bought a house, and welcomed a puppy into their lives.

A year later, atop Mt. Bachelor—one of their favorite places in Bend—Brian proposed. With friends visiting from California, what seemed like a casual closing-weekend ski day turned into a surprise engagement at the summit, followed by a celebration back at the lodge.

When it came time to choose a wedding venue, they knew exactly what they wanted: a place with stunning mountain views, space to celebrate all weekend, and the flexibility to bring their vision to life. Pole Creek Ranch checked every box. The sprawling landscape, framed by towering pines and the Cascade Mountains, was the perfect setting for a wedding that felt both intimate and grand.

Their August wedding day was filled with personal touches. The ceremony took place in the open field, with Brian’s brother officiating—a role he took on with enthusiasm, even if a nervous slip-up had him introducing himself as the groom! The couple’s creativity shined throughout the details, from handcrafted signage and florals to a custom-built arbor and bar. Brian’s dad and his friends even set up generators and strung lights in the trees, creating a warm, inviting reception space.

Guests danced under twinkling lights late into the evening before heading to a lively afterparty at Elkatraz, making for a night that no one wanted to end.

From heartfelt traditions—like a lace robe and journal passed between the bride’s family members on their wedding days—to the joy of celebrating with 170 friends and family, their wedding at Pole Creek Ranch was a true reflection of their journey. A place that once felt like a dream had become the backdrop to the most unforgettable day of their lives.
